Maritime Security Training

Designed for individuals wishing to operate or currently operating as Privately Contracted Armed Security Personnel on vessels. The Maritime Security Operative (MSO) qualification is the only qualification based on the international standard for Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSCs): ISO-28007 [Guidelines for PMSCs providing privately contracted armed security personnel (PCASP) on board ships].

This qualification is based on the competencies in the ISO PAS 28007 and includes:

IMO procedures and regulations
ISPS Code, ISM Code, SOLAS 74, BMP-5 and other documents relating to the vessel protection
Compliance with ISO 28007 and the ICoC
Defining Vessel Structures
Equipment and facilities for protection and defense of vessels
Equipment used by the pirates, pirate tactics, and PAG activity (Pirate Attack Group)
Paramedical Response in High Risk Conditions (FPOS)
Maritime Security Pre-Deployment Planning and Procedures
Maritime Security Incident Response and Reporting
Rescue of drowning

EOD / Demining Training

HXZA provides demining training from EOD Level 1 through IMAS Level 2 to IMAS Level 3. Our EOD courses are designed to provide students with the required knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties & tasks during EOD Operations of a qualified EOD Operator, in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). Participants can achieve competency meeting IMAS 09.30, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 3 criteria. With increased reconstruction and development activity carried out in post-conflict countries, HXZA's clients frequently need to clear large swaths of land for surveying and construction. The IMAS Level 3 course is offered to their employees or contractors requiring additional training or independent certification prior to deployment.

Designated Defensive Marksman Training

HXZA's DDM course is intended to provide the training necessary for participants to operate as a designated marksman for overseas high risk protective detail. The Designated Defensive Marksman must excel at mission planning preparation, provide close, mid, and long range threat observation, tracking, and precision mitigation out to a range 400 meters.  This DDM course covers built up areas, high angle marksmanship, limited exposure targeting, decision-making, and long range precision. The training covers:

First Aid Training

FPOS Training

FPOS (First Person On Scene) training has been designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to help a person in a life threatening situation.

FPOS is designed for those who are likely to be first on the scene of an emergency incident when a person's life is in danger, such as community responders, fire and police personnel, industrial first aiders and those who want to achieve more than First Aid.

This qualification has been developed with the NHS Ambulance Services and is clinically endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care. FPOS also meets the Security Industry Authority first aid requirements for Close Protection Operatives.
